WILL YOU GET WET ON A NIAGARA FALLS TOUR?

Many people enjoy the mist that comes with walking near Niagara Falls and during the attractions (especially in the summer months) but some people understandably would prefer to stay dry.

will you get wet on a Niagara Falls tour

One of the many beautiful parts of our Niagara Falls tours is that you can get as wet or stay as dry as you’d like.

Especially when you check the Niagara Falls forecast before your tour and come prepared for the weather in case it’s raining (e.g. rain coats, umbrellas, hats etc,.)

WILL YOU GET WET DURING THE NIAGARA FALLS BOAT TOUR?

You have not fully experienced Niagara Falls Canada until you have been on a Niagara Falls boat tour.

If you’re looking forward to getting wet then you’re in luck because this is one of the wettest attractions available for those who want to be.

If you’d rather not get wet, you can still enjoy the experience from the comfort of the interior space offered onboard.

“You will be provided a rain poncho that should keep you mostly dry. However, you might get wet from the knees down. You can avoid getting wet on the Hornblower Niagara Cruise by standing in the glassed off area on the lower deck.” - ToNiagara.com

WILL YOU GET WET DURING THE JOURNEY BEHIND THE FALLS?

During the Journey Behind The Falls attraction there are 2 places you could potentially get wet.

  1. Close to the viewing portals within the tunnels behind the falls. If you get as close as you’re able to you will feel some drops from the water falling in front of you but you can easily enjoy the view a little further back so you avoid the water altogether.

  2. From the outdoor viewing platform. While not nearly as wet as the boat tour, you may still get a little wet if you’re getting an up close and personal view. Again, it’s easy to avoid the water completely by getting a view from a little further back.

“The observation deck at the foot of this 13-storey-tall wonder will leave you breathless (and maybe a little bit wet).”Niagara Parks

DO YOU GET WET DURING JET BOAT TOURS?

Another attraction that is on the list of the best Niagara Falls boat tours are the Whirlpool Jet Boat tours offered on both sides of the border.

This is probably the attraction where you are most likely to get SOAKED - depending on which jet boat you select.

will you get wet on a Niagara Falls jet boat tour

"On the 'Wet Jet' or 'Wet Freedom Jet' tour you get absolutely soaked. At times, while engaged in the Devil’s Hole Rapids during your Wet Jet tour experience, you can be seated knee deep in water in the boat.

Regardless of the gear we provide, we recommend a complete change of clothes and of course we have change rooms on site.

Guests on our 'Dry Freedom' Jet tour will remain dry within the enclosed vessel.”Whirlpool Jet Boats

DO YOUR SHOES GET WET AT NIAGARA FALLS?

On the wet jet boat tour options, yes.

On the Hornblower boat tour or Journey Behind The Falls attractions (both available on our Niagara Falls tour packages) it’s easy to avoid getting your feet wet. They will not get soaked.

“You do get a poncho but your shoes will get wet.” – Christopher, customer of Hornblower.

Walk Niagara Tours offers all-inclusive walking tours of Niagara Falls. Our tour guides lead groups 7 days a week between April and November.
